— ACTNO. 6787 BILL NO. 26-0147 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS es 4 oo Regular Session 2005 To provide an appropriation for operating expenses of the Territorial Public Defender during the Fiscal Year October 1, 2005, 10 September 30, 2006, and for other purposes --0-- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. The sum of $2,560,000, or so much thereofl.as may be necessary, is appropriated from funds in the Treasury of the Virgin Islands in the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2005, and ending September 30, 2006, to the Territorial Public Defender for salaries and operating expenses. SECTION 2. (a) The item of appropriation contained in Section ] of this Act shall be reduced by the sum expended for the objects and purposes of such item pursuant to section 9(e) of the Revised Organic Act of the Virgin Islands between October 1, 2004, and the effective date of this Act. (b) The appropriation contained in this Act is not subject to title 2 V.I.C. §28 (b). Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on September 23, 2005. …
