Press Release VETERANS AFFAIRS REGIONAL OFFICE ANNOUNCES A TOWN HALL MEETING (August 5, 2015, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands) The Virgin Islands Office of Veterans Affairs is hosting a town hall meeting which will be attended by the leadership of the U.S. Veterans Affairs San Juan Regional Office. Present will be Director Dewayne Hamlin who oversees the San Juan VA Medical Center and the VA clinics both on St. Thomas and St. Croix. Veterans will be given the opportunity to voice their concerns on access to VA medical facilities, travel to and from Puerto Rico for medical treatment, waiting periods for medical appointments, etcetera. On St. Thomas the town hall will take place at the Charlotte Amalie High School on Monday August 10th from 6pm – 8pm; on St. Croix the town hall will take place at the St. Croix Educational Complex on Aug 11th from 2pm – 4pm. …

These issues have been standing for far too long; it’s time to take these issues by the horn”.
