National Science Foundation Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (NSF S-STEM) Award Number: 2030713 (track 2) Project Title: Developing Future STEM Leaders in the Caribbean: Scholarships and Systemic Support for Graduate Students in marine and Environmental Biology in the Virgin Islands PI: Donna Nemeth Co-PI: Michele Guannel Co-PI: Paul Jobsis Grant Period: 10/1/2020-9/30/2025 MMES Program will award thirty-six National Science Foundation Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (NSF S-STEM) to MMES students over five years. The two-year S-STEM award provides financially needy and academically talented scholars with $10,000 per year in funds toward tuition, $2,700 for supply and conference travel expenses over two years, and other professional development and mentoring support.
