COMMITTEE ON BUDGET, APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE BILL NO. 35-0139 Thirty-Fifth Legislature of the Virgin Islands September 19, 2023 An Act appropriating the sum of $331,334 from the Youth Education and Training Endowment Fund and the sum of $138,666 from the General Fund of the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Department of Education for the completion of the Virgin Islands-centric Civics and the Virgin Islands History Textbooks for the 3rd through 8th grades PROPOSED BY: Senator Angel L. Bolques, Jr. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the use restrictions in 33 V.I.C. §3100, there is 2 appropriated in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023, the sum of $331,334 from the Youth 3 Education and Training Endowment Fund and the sum of $138,666 from the General Fund of 4 the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Department of Education for the completion of the 5 Virgin Islands-centric Civics and the Virgin Islands History Textbooks for the 3rd through 8th 6 grades. …
