ACTNO. 7946 BILL NO. 31-0471 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2016 An Act delaying the implementation of tipping fees for solid waste disposal until January 1, 2017 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. In order to allow the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority to conduct a public education and awareness campaign on the tipping fees for solid disposal approved by the Public Services Commission (“PSC”), Order No. 50/2016, entered April 20, 2016, and the new procedures for waste handling solid waste, the date for implementation of the tipping fees extended by the PSC to October 1, 2016, is further extended by this Act to January 1, 2017. SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the limitations on use of the funds under title 33 Virgin Islands Code, section 3087(a) and section 3057(a), there is appropriated in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2017, from the St. Croix Capital Improvement Fund, the sum of $850,000 and from the St. …
