THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “To Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner AAF Justice Complex, 5400 Veterans Drive St. Thomas, 00802 * (340) 774-2211 Administrative Services Building 45 Mars Hill, Frederiksted St. Croix, 00840 * (340) 778-2211 www.vipd.vi.gov VIPD NEWS RELEASE - 092723-310 For Immediate Media Distribution September 27, 2023 Operation Re-establish Yields Multiple Firearms in Nadir Estate St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands - On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at approximately 6:29 p.m., Operation Re-establish taskforce officers were dispatched to Nadir Estate in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival, an inspection was conducted in the general area and eleven spent casing were found. An extended search of the area resulted in the finding of (1) Glock Gen 4, 40 caliber pistols with an obliterated serial number, a small white bag with multiple loose rounds, (1) fifteen round Glock magazine filled to capacity, and (3) Generic magazines with ammunition. The Virgin Islands Police Department commend the officers on a job well done. …
