The Chairman remarked: I have been handed a resolution by Ist and 2nd Mem- bers for Christiansted Town, A ramson and Canegata respectively which can only be brought up today by a three- jjuairterr voie. 1 will ask ihe Secreiary to read the Bill. Accordingly the Secretary read the Resolution. The Bill reads as follows: Colonial Council Bill No. 55. Second Council, Second Session, 1920-21. RESOLUTION. Be it resolved by the Colonial Council in session assembled: That a Committee of five .(5) members be appointed to aet conjointle with the Government in revising and designaring the class of merchandise which may be considered hucksters’ goods according to Par. 8, Chapter 1I of the Ordinance concerning Trades and Occupations in St. Croix. . - W.S. Christiansted Ist Member for Frederiksted Town (Coulter) remairked: Mr. Chairman. 1 am *not quite sure, but I think there is such a list already passed by the Colomal Couneil, Ist Member for Christiansted Country District (Stakemann) in reply to the last Speaker said, —~Yes, there is such a list but it has not been revised since 1911. It was put to the vote and carried that the Resolution be furthered today. 2nd Member for Christiansied Town (Canegata) remarked: Mr. Chairman. All there is to be done on this matter is to appeoint a committee,. Ist Member for Frederiksted Country District (Andersen) propoused a recess of 10 minutes. 3 LRI X A YIS The Chairman gave a recess of 10 minutes, After recess the (ouncil reassembled and proceeded to elect a committee of 5 members to receive and report on the resolution. 10 voting tickets were handed in. i Elected were: Canegata and Hender- son wit 9 votes respectively; Abranson with 8 votes, Ramsay with 7 votes and Coulter with 5 votes. I Ist Member for Christiansted Country ' District (Stakemann) received 4 votes and 2nd Member for Frederiksted Town (Merwin) received 3 "tes.
