COMMITTEE ON BUDGET, APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE BILL NO. 36-0041 Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the Virgin Islands February 27, 2025 An Act amending sections 8 and 9 of Act No. 7267 by changing the authorized use of Matricula 22-a Estate Mars Hill, West End Quarter, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, and by reprogramming the $2,000,000 appropriation PROPOSED BY: Senator Novelle E. Francis, Jr. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. (a) Act No. 7267 is amended by striking section 9 in its entirety and 2 inserting the following new language: 3 “(a) The Department of Property and Procurement shall transfer title and ownership of 4 Matricula 22-a Estate Mars Hill, West End Quarter, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, consisting of 5 approximately 44.503 U.S. acres, as more fully described in OLG No. 5123, dated October 29, 6 1998, to the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (“VIHFA”) for the purpose of 7 constructing mixed-income affordable housing. 8 (b) The $2,000,000 appropriated to the VIHFA in section 8 of Act No. …
