IMT 1ST QUARTER REPORT 2022 A. USE OF FORCE - Paragraph 37 During this Quarter, IMT reviewed 19 Use of Force cases. Of the 19 cases, the IMT claims that six (6) are not in substantial compliance. In its report, the IMT noted that there were three use of force incidents which involved the unjustified use of a taser but which the VIPD found were justified. VIPD takes the position that the taser use by VIPD officers was justified in all three cases. …
