OVERRIDDEN OATE_12/11/01 ACT NO.648 1 BILL NO. 24-0144 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 200] To amend title 24, chapter 12, Virgin Islands Code, pertaining to the Unemployment Insurance Fund to make an appropnation and for other purposes ---0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 24, chapter 12, Virgin Islands Code, is amended in the following instances; (a) Section 308, subsection (b), is amended in the following instances; (1) paragraphs (2) and (3) are deleted in their entirety a new paragraph (2) is added and the remaining paragraphs are redesignated as follows: “(2) Each employer newly subject to the provisions of this chapter shall pay contributions at the rate of one percent (1%) until such time as he has sufficient experience to qualify for a contribution rate in accordance with paragraph (3) of this subsection.”: (2) paragraph (7), subparagraph (C), is amended by deleting “December 31” where it appears and inserting in lieu thereof “September 30”; (3) paragraph (9) is amended by deletin …
