Letter regarding Groundwater Monitoring, Tutu Wells Site Remedial Investigation

Dear Mr. Reed: On behalf of the Tutu Environmental Investigation Committee (TEIC) and as part of the Remedial Investigation (RI) groundwater monitoring task, Geraghtv & Miller, Inc. is proposing to remove the existing submersible pump and repair the well head at the Harvey well. The well could not be sampled during the Phase II of the RI because the submersible pump was not working. In order to get access to purge the well and collect the sample, the existing submersible pump and piping will have to be removed from the well. The scope of work will consist of the removal of piping and submersible pump from the well with a small pump truck, and repair of the steel casing at the well head. Dear Ms. Simmonds: On behalf of the Tutu Environmental Investigation Committee (TEIC) and as part of the Remedial Investigation (RI) groundwater monitoring wells sampling task, Geraghty & Miller, Inc. is proposing the removal of the existing submersible pump from supply well VIHA I. The well was not sampled during the implementation of the Phase II of the RI because the submersible pump was not working. In order to get access to purge the well and collect the sample, the existing submersible pump and piping will have to be removed from the well. The scope of work will consist of the removal of existing pipe and the submersible pump with a small pump truck, purging the well with a submersible pump, and collecting the water sample with a teflon bailer after completion of purging. Work will be performed by a local contractor. Poly Caribe, under Geraghty & Miller supervision.
