VIPD continues to meet its reporting requirements, identify areas of opportunity, and implement operating policies that align with the provisions of the Consent Decree. Specifically, VIPD has updated and finalized its Disciplinary Policy, Body-worn Camera Policy, and Conducted Energy Weapons Policy. Moreover, VIPD has recently hired additional analytical personnel and has scheduled meetings to review quarterly reports and trends with management, to improve personnel’s understanding and use of the data available. …
