ACT NO.65 13 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2002 To honor and commend Dr. Aida P. Khatchadourian and rename the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital Anesthesia Section the “Dr. Aida P. Khatchadourian Anesthesia Department” ---()--- WHEREAS, Dr. Aida P. Khatchadounan received her medical degree at the Yerevan State Medical] Institute in Yerevan, Armenia (SSR); and WHEREAS, Dr. Khatchadourian completed residencies in Pediatrics at the Sick Children Hospital of Beirut, Lebanon, in Anesthesiology at the American University Hospital of Beirut, Lebanon, and in Anesthesiology at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York; and WHEREAS, in 1982, she joined the staff at the Knud Hansen Hospital where she met the challenge of bringing the anesthesia services up to nationally recognized standards; and WHEREAS, as Chief of Anesthesiology under Dr. Roy Schneider, Commissioner of Health, she oversaw the Anesthesia Depariment, Respiratory Therapy Unit, and the Intensive Care Unit; and WHEREAS, upon the move to the St. …
