P, f vb - ~s 0, 7618 BILL NO. 30-0025 THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2014 An Act amending title 14 V.LC., chapter 21, relating to the definition of “dwelling place” and by adding chapter 22 enacting the Virgin Islands Home Invasion Act —0-— Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 14, Virgin Islands Code, chapter 21 is amended in the following instances: (a) Section 441 is amended by striking the definition, “Dwelling House”, and inserting in its place the following: “Dwelling place” means a building, any part of which is usually occupied by a person or persons residing therein; (b) Section 442 is amended by striking “dwelling house”; (1) Section 443 is amended by striking the phrase, ‘in which there is a human being”; and (2) Section 444 is amended in paragraphs (1) and (2) by striking “dwelling house”. SECTION 2. Title 14 Virgin Islands Code is amended by adding a new chapter 22 to read: “Chapter 22. Home Invasion § 460. …
