ACTNO. 6692 BILL NO. 25-0266 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2004 To provide an appropriation for operating expenses of the Territorial Public Defender during the fiscal year October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005 and for other purposes ---0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. The sum of $2,560,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from funds in the Treasury of the Virgin Islands in the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2004, and ending September 30, 2005, to the Territorial Public Defender for salaries and operating expenses. SECTION 2. (a) The item of appropriation contained in section 1 of this Act shall be reduced by the sum expended for the objects and purposes of such item between October 1, 2004, and the effective date of this Act, which sum was expended pursuant to section 9(e) of the Revised Organic Act of the Virgin Islands. (b) The appropriation contained in this Act is not subject to the provisions of title 2 V.IC. §28 (b). SECTION 3. …
