ACT NO.6405 BILL NO. 24-0054 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2001 To amend title 31, chapter 21, section 205, Virgin Islands Code, to require that any sublease of a master lease that exceeds five (5) years be approved by the Legislature and amend title 33, section 54, Virgin Islands Code, to require certain guests of timeshare developments to pay hotel tax ---0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 31, chapter 21, section 205, subsection (c), Virgin Islands Code, is amended by inserting after “lease” or “leases” wherever either word appears, the words, “sublease” or “subleases” respectively, and by inserting after “renewals” “nor sublease of government real estate for a term exceeding five years (including the period of any allowable extensions or renewals)”.
