ACTNO, 78% 5 BILL NO. 31-0075 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2016 An Act authorizing the Department of Human Services to develop a comprehensive care program for females in the Youth Rehabilitation Center and the Juvenile Justice System ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. The Department of Human Services, in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Department of Education and the Department of Labor, shall develop a comprehensive care program for females in the Youth Rehabilitation Center and the Juvenile Justice System. The comprehensive plan must address the following: (1) gender specific intervention strategies to include addressing issues such as pregnancy; (2) substance abuse; (3) gang involvement; (4) physical abuse; and (5) education.
