ACTNO. 8119 BILL NO. 32-0311 THIRTY-SECOND LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 201$ An Act ratifying the Agreement for Group Medical Health Insurance and the Agreement for Group Dental Health Insurance between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company; and ratifying the Agreement for Vision Insurance and the Agreement for Group Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Standard Insurance Company ---0--- WHEREAS, the Government of the Virgin Islands provides group health benefits to eligible, government employees, retirees, and their dependents; and WHEREAS, the Virgin Islands Code in title 3, section 633 (b) requires the Health Insurance Board of Trustees at least once every five years and at least 180 days before the termination of an existing contract to invite proposals from all interested and qualified insurers desiring to provide insurance coverage and to execute an agreement to purchase an insurance contract and submit the agreement to the Governor for approval and …
