BILL NO. 29-0421 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2012 An Act suspending the accrual of the thirty percent of the stamp tax proceeds to the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority from the General Fund ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding title 33 Virgin Islands Code, section 130, the accrual of thirty percent of the proceeds of the stamp tax to the account of the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (“the Authority”) is suspended for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2013. Except for the sum of $500,000 which must be deposited into the Authority’s account to fund the moderate income housing program, all other proceeds of the stamp tax must be deposited into the General Fund of the Treasury of the Virgin Islands in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2013.
