UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION PURPOSE: To replace the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Physics degree with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. WHEREAS, the University offers two degree programs in chemistry: the B.A. in Chemistry, and the B.S. in Chemistry with Physics (CWP), and WHEREAS, over the past ten years the interest of students has shifted from the physico- chemical fields to the biomedical fields, and WHEREAS, the B.S. degree in Chemistry would be less costly than the B.S. degree in Chemistry with Physics, and WHEREAS, the needs of a majority of the students who are interested in chemistry can be met by either the B.A. or the B.S. degree in Chemistry, and WHEREAS, the Faculty Organization has reviewed a proposal prepared by the Division of Science and Mathematics to replace the B.S. degree in Chemistry with Physics with a B.S. …

UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION PURPOSE: To replace the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Physics degree with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
