U.S. A, SATURDAY 23rp APRIL 1921 Publicati T is hereby made known, that whereas I the following Members of the Colonial Council, elected by the Country juris- diction of Christiansted, will have to re- tire from the Council in accordance with Art. 17 of the Colonial Law viz: 3rd Mewmber Mr. Robt. W. Skeoch 4th . Mr. Thos. Ramsay % Government has resolved in virtue of Art. 28 of the Colonial Law that the GENERAL ELECTION of members to the Council in lieu of the said gentlemen shall take place in the Court House of Christiansted *Jurisdiction on SATUR- DAY THE 7TH MAY a. c.; and further: election of a Member to serve the un- expired term of 2nd Member Mr. W. H. Mac Kay whose resignation: has been accepted by the Colonial Council. The polling will commence at I o’clock p. m. and in accordance with Art. 30 of the Colonial Law will close at 4 o’clork p. m. at the earliest. At the election no one can be consider- ed unless he has announced himseif as a candidate or has been so announced by one of the electors of the electoral dis- trict. The announcement of candida- ture shall either be made in writing or by personal attendance of the announcer before the electoral board. The written announcement, signed by the announcer (announcers) must be sent to the under- signed chairman at my official office, not later than 4 o’clock p. m. on the 3rd May a. ¢. and for receiving announce- ments made personally the Electoral Board will meet at the place where the election is to be held, at 3 o’clock p. m. on Wednesday the 4th May a. c.
