August 23, 2019 AMENDMENT #1 –IFB049DPNRT19 (c) – Krum Bay Dock Reconstruction Questions and Answers ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED. BIDDERS MUST ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF THIS AMENDMENT WITH THEIR BID PROPOSAL. Questions and Answers: ABC Concepts Questions & Answers Dated August 15, 2019 1. In lieu of 14" rock socket set forth in the documents, would the engineer consider using micro piles drilled inside of piles if we can demonstrate our proposed method meets or exceeds the kips desired on uplift? The reason we suggest this is, no one in the territory or PR has equipment required to drill in rock a 14" diameter socket, and to mobilize the equipment from the states will be very expensive. The Rock Sockets are actually 1O" in diameter by 6 ft and are drilled inside of the pipe. Vivot Equipment Corporation on St. Croix has the equipment to install the Rock Sockets Yes, it would be agreeable to use Micro Piles such as the ones supplied by Williams Form Engineering Corp or equal, to provide the necessary tension capacity in the pile. …

Do you have a copy of the Army Corps of Engineers Permit that we can have? Yes, the Army Corps of Engineers Permit will be provided. 2. Is there any other usable material at the site left over from previous contractor other than all the steel piles? No. The rebar on site is rusted and should not be used for the project the forms on site are also not useable. 3. Are there any more details for the Utilities other than running pipe and conduit under the deck? There are no additional details for the Utilities
