You had earlier advised me that i( was almost a certainty that you would shortly be accepting employment outside of government. I accept your resignation with much regret. Your tenure at Justice has been exemplary in terms of your skill in labor litigation and the passion which you brought to your work. You are perhaps the most successful Assistant Attorney General who tackled the extraordinarily large caseload presented to Justice by the Office of Collective Bargaining. 1 was most impressed with the thoroughness of your preparation of each case handied by you and your support personnel. It did not go unnoticed by me that you coupled your litigation skills with an equal verve for personally investigating your cases in the field. Clearly your preparation before you appeared before mediators or in your hardball negotiations with respondents’ lawyers resulted in an over 90% success rate. I wish that I could have convinced you to continue your work in government which { believe is your true calling.
