ACTNO, 7947 BILL NO. 31-0473 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2016 An Act providing for the establishment of a bottled water plant operation and enacting The Bottle Water Act of 2016 a--Qeoe Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. This Act may be cited as the Virgin Islands Bottled Water Plan Act of 2016. SECTION 2. (a) The Government of the Virgin Islands may, develop and operate, or enter into a contract, including a public-private partnership agreement, to develop and construct, or operate, or develop, construct and operate a bottled drinking water plant for distribution and sale of bottled drinking water in the Virgin Islands and export to places outside of the Virgin Islands. (b) Before commencing the procedures to enter into any public-private partnership, the Bureau of Economic Research, shall conduct a study to determine whether establishing a public- private partnership for a bottled water plant operation is advisable. …
