Brown, Sr. for his dedicated service to the Virgin Islands Fire Service and to name the Fort Christian Fire Station the “Omar O. Brown, Sr. Fire Station” | WHEREAS, Omar O. Brown, Sr. was born on August 4, 1909 on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; and died on April 23, 1988; WHEREAS, Omar O. Brown, Sr. received his education at parochial and public schools in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, Omar O. Brown, Sr. joined the United States Army and served in the 16" U.S. Infantry Division in 1928 for five and one half years and later with the Coast Artillery in Panama for two and one half years; and WHEREAS, Omar O. Brown, Sr. was a member of the Progressive Guide, the first political party in the Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, Omar O.
