LUCIEN MOOLENAAR, II, DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC HEALTH, CONVICTED OF CONVERSION OF GOVERNMENT FUNDS, GRAND LARCENY AND MAKING A FALSE STATEMENT TO GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS Acting United States Attorney Anthony Jenkins and Assistant Attorney General Christopher A. Wray for the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice announce that, earlier today, a district court jury, sitting on St. Thomas, found DR. LUCIEN A. MOOLENAAR, II, DDS, former Acting Commissioner of the Department of Health and current Deputy Commissioner of Public Health Services for the Virgin Islands, guilty of all charges. The three charges in the Indictment related to Dr. Moolenaars conversion of 63 monthly payments from the government in the amount of $1,626.95, totaling $102,497.85.
