ACT NO.6491 BILL NO. 24-0188 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2001 To name the garden in front of the Government House, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, ““The First Lady’s Garden”, in honor of Mrs. Agnes Agatha Schuster- King, Former First Lady of the Virgin Islands ---(--- WHEREAS, Agnes Agatha Schuster-King was born to Johannes and Esalena Schuster on October 21, 1919, in Christiansted, St. Croix; and WHEREAS, Mrs. King graduated from St. Mary’s School of Business Administration in Chnistiansted, St. Croix. She furthered her education by taking correspondence courses from the American School in Chicago, Illinois, and attained a working knowledge of the Russian language from her studies at the Library of Congress, where she was employed for twelve years; and WHEREAS, Mrs. King married fellow Crucian, Cynl Emmanuel King, on August 23, 1946, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Chnstiansted, St. Croix; and WHEREAS, Mrs. …
