COMMITTEE ON BUDGET, APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE 06/08/2026-REPORTED OUT TO THE COMMITTEE ON RULES AND JUDICIARY BILL NO. 36-0273 Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the Virgin Islands March 13, 2026 An act amending Act No. 8465 redirecting the appropriation to the First-Time Homebuyers Program to the Williams Delight Community Homeownership Program and the VI Slice Homeownership Program PROPOSED BY: Senator Kurt A. Vialet Sponsor: Angel L. Bolques, Jr. Co-sponsor: Ray Fonseca Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Act No. 8465 is amended as follows: 2 (a) In section 14, designate the existing language as subsection (a) and insert the 3 following subsection (b): 4 “(b) The sums appropriated in subsection (a) shall be disbursed as follows: 5 (1) $265,000 to the Virgin Islands Housing Authority for the 6 Williams Delight Community Homeownership Program; and 7 (2) $3,735,000 to the Economic Development Authority for the VI 8 Slice Homeownership Program.” 9 2 (b) In section 15 strike “, for the purpose of 21 V.I.C. …
