TO THE USVI FROM UNITED STATES & FOREIGN REGIONS SELECTED IMPORTS REVIEW Reference: www.usviber.org/ Censustradedata.com 2023 JANUARY TO DECEMBER All data in the report are produced by the Census Bureau and are compiled by the Bureau of Economic Research. The United States Virgin Islands (USVI) has seen remarkable increases in import values across several categories. Handbag imports in the Apparel sector climbed by $455,700 to $865,325, while baby garments rose by $68,639 to $109,639. In Tourist Goods, camera imports surged by $484,000 to $620,000, and make-up products tripled in value to $3.6 million, increasing by $2.8 million. Portland Cement in the Industrial Import Goods category rose slightly to $2.2 million, and propane imports increased by $43.3 million to $70.1 million. Gasoline values also rose by $1.4 million. Notably, the U.S. benchmark Henry Hub natural gas price dropped 62% in 2023 according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), which may impact next year's import values. …
