ACTNO, 8708 BILL NO. 35-0018 THIRTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2023 An Act approving the Lease Agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands, acting through its Commissioner of the Department of Property and Procurement, and A-9 Trucking Enterprises, Inc. and Sarnelli Bros., (V.I.) Inc. d/b/a V.I. Recycling Company ---0--- WHEREAS, title 31, section 205(b) of the Virgin Islands Code provides that the Governor of the Virgin Islands shall approve, on behalf of the Government of the Virgin Islands, all conveyances, leases, or other instruments relating to the disposition of government real estate; and WHEREAS, title 31, section 205 (c) of the Virgin Islands Code provides that in addition to the required approval of the Governor as provided for in subsection (b) of section 205, no sale, exchange, lease, or sublease of government real estate is binding upon the Government of the Virgin Islands, unless and it is approved by the Legislature; and WHEREAS, the Governor of the Virgin Islands executed a lease between the Government of the Virgin Islands, ac …
