The Acting Chairman read and put to the vote whether the Resolution should be forwarded. ® IJst Member for [Frederiksted Town (Coulter) in introducing the Resolution said,~Honorable Members this Resolution is introduced due to a motion made in the last meeting that all matters pending in the Council after a general election should be reintroduced. This Resolution has the same effect as the one passed by the Council recently, and 1 believe all mem- ters feel the necessity for the revision of the Police regulations. 1 therefore ask that the same commitiee be appoint- ed, with the exception of Ist Mewn- ber for Christiansted “ountry Districk (Stakemann) vhe has retired 3rd Member for Christiansted Town (Alexander) remarked: Mr. Chairman. T[here are many regulations which are very much in need of revision; the moior s vehicuiar regulatien is not very compre- hensive. [ have conies of regulations from Porto Rico and the United States, which [ intend to p'ace before tne com- mittee when it is appointed. It seems to me that the automobile law would be a separate law,. but going further than that, I do not see the need ol police reguiations; you can call this chapter by its propar name.
