It is learmed that Danish Consui Gene- . ral Baumann is to be superseded in office, at least for some time, by former Dis- patching Secretary Wilhelm Jacobsen, Mr Baumann going home to Denmark for a change. Danes and others having busi- ness with rhe Consulate will be sorry to sever *onneciions with him. his praectical and splendid mmanners in deaing with the public, and which characterized his entire public life under the old administration having proved a valuable asset in his luter capacitv.
