Section 3 shall be applicable in all respects to any land re- ceived by the regents of the University of California, under the ex- change provisions authorized in section 4, and any land conveyed by the regents of the University of California pursuant to such exchange shall be received by the grantee thereof free and clear of the conditions prescribed in the first sentence of section 3. Public Law 87-663 AN ACT To amend title 10, United States Code, to authorize the appointment of citizens or nationals of the TTnited States from American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands to the United States Military Academy,' the United States Naval ' Academy, and the United States Air Force Academy. Be it enacted hy the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That title 10, United States Code, is amended as follows: (1) Section 4342(a) is amended— (A) by striking out the word "and" at the end of clause (8); (B) by striking out the period at the end of clause (9) and inserting the word "; and" in place thereof; and (C) by adding the following new clause at the end thereof: "(10) one cadet from American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands nominated by the Secretary of the Army upon recom- mendations of their respective Governors." (2) Section 4342(c) is amended— (A) by striking out the w^ords "clauses (1)—(5)" and insert- ing the words "clauses (1)—(5) and (10)" in place thereof; and (B) by striking out the words "or Puerto Rico," and inserting the words ", Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands," in. place thereof. (3) Section 6954(a) is amended by adding the following new clause at the end thereof: "(9) One from American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands nominated by the Secretary of the Navy upon recommendations of their respective Governors." • (4) Section 6958(b) is amended— (A) by striking out the words "clauses (3)—(7)" and insert- ing the words "clauses (3)—(7) and (9)" in place thereof; and (B) by striking out the words "or Puerto Rico," and inserting the words ", Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands," in place thereof. (5) Section 9342(a) is amended— (A) by striking out the word "and" at thft end of clause (8); (B) by striking out the period at the end of clause (9) and inserting the word "; and" in place thereof; and (C) by adding the following new clai^se at the end thereof: "(10) one cadet from American Samoa, Guam, or the Virgin Islands nominated by the Secretary of the Air Force upon recom- mendations of their respective Governors."
