In 2024, the U.S. Virgin Islands experienced growth in visitor arrivals. The number of visitors rose by 8.9% to a total of 2.6 million, compared to 2.4 million in 2023. This growth indicates that visitor arrivals have surpassed pre-pandemic levels, as the U.S. Virgin Islands recorded 2.1 million visitors in 2019. Factors contributing to this resurgence include an increase in the frequency of direct flights and the introduction of larger cruise ships.
