ACTNO. 8602 BILL NO. 34-0266 THIRTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2022 An act amending title 18, chapter 25, sections 661, 662, 664 and 665, relating to absentee voting, to provide for all persons eligible to vote in elections in the Virgin Islands to be entitled to vote in any election by absentee ballot ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature ofthe Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding title 18 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 1, section 6, of the Virgin Islands Code, title 18 Virgin Islands Code, is amended as follows: (1) In section 661, by striking paragraph (1) and inserting a new paragraph (1) to read as follows: “U) ‘Absentee’ means: any person registered and otherwise qualified to vote in elections in the Virgin Islands who applies for an absentee ballot pursuant to section 664 of this chapter.” The remaining paragraphs are re-numbered accordingly. …
