ACT NO.64.15 BILL NO. 24-0089 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Special Session 2001 - To provide supplemental appropriations from the General Fund to fund salary increases for Government employees and eligible retirees, public school repairs, health insurance premiums and for other purposes —-0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. The following sums are appropriated from the General Fund: (a) (1) The sum of $10,000,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary is hereby appropriated in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2001, to the Union Arbitration Award and Government Employees Increment Fund, as established in title 33, section 3066, Virgin Islands Code, to be used to fund Government employees and the adjustments to the annuities for cligible retirees’ initial salary increases and other- benefits. Said salary increases shall be implemented effective for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2001, to be paid no later than October 18, 2001. …
