ACT NO. 6796 BILL NO. 26-0063 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2005 To honor and commend Yvonne E. Milliner Bowsky for her dedicated service to the community and rename the Peace Corps Elementary School in her honor. ---Q--- WHEREAS, Yvonne E. Milliner Bowsky was born in Road Town, Tortola British Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Milliner Bowsky received her primary education on the island of Jost Van Dyke and at the age of fourteen was appointed to thé position of pupil teacher; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Milliner Bowsky graduated from Morris High School in the Bronx, New York; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Milliner Bowsky majored in secondary mathematics and education and minored in English, Spanish and science at New York University School of Education, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Milliner Bowsky obtained a Master’s degree in Secondary and Elementary Educational Administration from New York University; and WHEREAS, Mrs. …
