THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO PERFORMING WORK. WHENEVER THE TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN REQUIRES DETOURING OF TRAFFIC, THE TRAFFIC DETOUR PLAN SHALL NOT BE IMPLEMENTED DURING PEAK TRAFFIC HOURS. PEAK TRAFFIC HOURS ARE BETWEEN 7:00AM TO 9:00AM AND BETWEEN 3:00PM TO 6:00PM. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING AND WORKING WITH ALL UTILITY COMPANIES IN LOCATING AND THE RELOCATION OF ANY UTILITY LINES AND STRUCTURES ON THIS PROJECT ACCORDING TO PARAGRAPH 28 OF THE GENERAL PROVISIONS. ALL UNDERGROUND LINES MUST BE LOCATED PRIOR TO EXCAVATION. ITEM 41801 ASPHALT PATCHING FOR SHOULDERS SHALL BE IDENTIFIED BY THE CO IN THE FIELD. REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF ASPHALT AND DEBRIS WILL BE INCLUSIVE IN THIS ITEM. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM COMPACTION TESTS WITH A NUCLEAR GAUGE ON A DAILY BASIS WHEN COMPACTION OF MATERIAL IS IN PROGRESS. A MINIMUM OF ONE COMPACTION TEST MUST BE PERFORMED PER LIFT AND ALL TESTS RESULTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO DPW FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL. THE CONTRACTOR MUST ACHIEVE 95% DENSITY PRIOR TO PLACING ANY ADDITIONAL LIFTS. THE DPW SHALL BE NOTIFIED AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF CONCRETE POURS. TESTING OF THE CONCRETE SHALL CONFORM TO FP—14 SPECIFICATIONS. THIS PROJECT REQUIRES WARM MIX ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT TO BE USED USED FOR ITEMS 40301-0100 AND 40301-0110. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRODUCE, PLACE, AND COMPACT ASPHALT PAVEMENT BETWEEN 30° TO 120° LOWER THAN HOT MIX ASPHALT PAVEMENT. GUARDRAIL FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE W-BEAM TYPE Il, CLASS B. THE COST FOR PLACING LONGER POSTS WHERE REQUIRED WILL BE INCLUDED IN ITEM 61701. EXISTING GUARDRAIL THAT IS REMOVED AND NOT DAMAGED FROM THIS PROJECT SHALL BE DELIVERED TO THE DPW STOCKYARD INCLUDING POSTS, SPACERS, NUTS AND BOLTS. ALL DAMAGED AND UNREUSABLE GUARDRAIL SHALL BE DISPOSED OF AT THE ANGUILLA LANDFILL. THE GUARDRAIL SHALL BE REMOVED WITH CARE AND NEATLY STOCK PILED AT THE DPW STOCKYARD. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DELIVER MILLED MATERIAL TO THE DPW STOCKYARD. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL WORK LIMITS IN THE FIELD WITH THE CO PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES. ROADWAY RECONDITIONING FOR THIS PROJECT SHALL INCLUDE TREE TRIMMING AND BRUSH REMOVAL, ASPHALT SHOULDER GRADING AND RECONDITIONING, GRADING SHOULDERS TO DRAIN, CLEARING DITCHES, CLEARING DEBRIS FROM WATERWAYS, MEDIAN GRADING AND RECONDITIONING, REPLACING GRAVEL BETWEEN GUARD RAILING WHERE REQUIRED, AND REPAIR OF THE MEDIAN CURB WHERE DAMAGED.
