ACT'NO, 782: BILL NO. 31-0138 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2015 An Act appropriating $432,000 to establish the Bachelor of Science in the Nursing Degree Program at the University of the Virgin Islands, at the St. Croix Campus and amending Act No. 7761 increasing the appropriation to the Department of Finance from the special Internal Revenue Matching Fund from $12,800,000 to $22,978,300 aneQee- WHEREAS, the last St. Croix Bachelor of Science in nursing class graduated in 2009 from the University of the Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, currently the University of the Virgin Islands’ School of Nursing, St. Croix campus, does not offer programs beyond associates degrees in nursing; and WHEREAS, the graduates from the School of Nursing’s Associate Degree Program on the island of St. Croix must relocate to the island of St. Thomas to complete the Bachelor of Science in Nursing; and WHEREAS, the vast majority of the graduates from the School of the Nursing’s Associate Degree Program on the island of St. …
