The GVI has determined that it would be in its best interest to cancel the RFP and reject all bids. This decision was made in accordance with 31 V..C. § 235-61(a) (1), which states, “Inadequate, ambiguous, or otherwise deficient specifications were cited in the invitation for bids”. The request for services were done under previous Bureau of Corrections leadership, therefore the scope of work require revisions to adequately meet the needs of the Bureau. The request for proposals was tendered by past Bureau of Corrections leadership. Since my designation as Director, I have reviewed the scope of work and determined that it must be revised to adequately meet the needs of the Bureau.
